Both the man and the ship share deep roots in tradition, dedication and service to the United States Navy. This site is a collection of stories about the men and women who serve on board.

PACIFIC OCEAN (Dec. 7, 2016) – An F/A-18E Super Hornet from the Argonauts of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 147 performs a touch and go on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Nimitz is currently underway conducting Tailored Ship’s Training Availability and Final Evaluation Problem (TSTA/FEP), which evaluates the crew on their performance during training drills and real-world scenarios.
